Where to report conduct or incidents not covered elsewhere in Reportal
Athletics employee misconduct
To report complaints of Intercollegiate Athletics (IA) employee misconduct relative to student-athletes, you may file a report online using the Cal Athletics Ethicpoints website or by calling 800-403-4744. All reports submitted through EthicsPoint will be reviewed by Campus and Athletic Administration.
Faculty misconduct
To report faculty misconduct not covered by the other categories on Reportal, a good first step is often to contact the supervisor (such as the Department Chair or School Dean) so that your concern can be routed to the appropriate campus office for review.
You may report concerns related to Regents Policy 2301 ("Policy on Course Content"), which prohibits misuse of the classroom for purposes other than those for which the course was constituted. If you believe the misuse of the classroom creates a hostile environment based on a protected category, or otherwise constitutes protected category discrimination or harassment, you can submit your concern to the Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination (OPHD) (Please see the Harassment & discrimination page). OPHD will route all other concerns related to course content to the appropriate unit for academic review and processing.
If you're not sure where to report a concern, you can always report via the Whistleblower Hotline.
Staff misconduct
To report other staff misconduct not covered by the other categories on Reportal, please contact the supervisor or report via the Whistleblower Hotline.
UCPD misconduct
To file a complaint about a sworn UCPD police officer, you may file a complaint form online or email the Police Accountability Board at PABcomplaint@berkeley.edu.
