Sexual violence and sexual harassment (SVSH) reporting

Where to report

Sexual violence and sexual harassment can be reported to the Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination (OPHD) using any of the following methods:

When reporting is required

Any University employee who is not a Confidential Resource must notify OPHD if they learn, in the course of employment, that a student may have experienced Prohibited Conduct as defined by the UC SVSH Policy. This includes resident assistants, graduate teaching assistants, and all other student employees, when disclosures are made to them in their capacities as employees.

Managers and Supervisors including Deans, Department Chairs, and Directors of Organized Research Units and faculty members must notify OPHD if they learn, in the course of employment, that any individual affiliated with the University may have experienced Prohibited Conduct, as defined in the UC Anti-SVSH Policy.

People with this type of reporting obligation are called Responsible Employees.
