Where to report

Anyone can report improper governmental activity (including, but not limited to, corruption, bribery, fraud, misuse of University resources) to the UC Whistleblower Hotline by calling (800) 403-4744 or via the online portal. Anonymous reporting is available. 

When reporting is required

Managers, administrators and employees in supervisory roles who receive a report alleging suspected improper governmental activities must promptly report the matter to their supervisor, an appropriate University manager, and/or the to the UC Whistleblower online platform or by calling 800-403-4744.

Informal summary

Improper governmental activity includes, but is not limited to, corruption, bribery, fraud, or the waste or misuse of University resources. If you suspect that a UC employee is engaged in improper governmental activities, you can report ("blow the whistle"). Retaliation against someone who participates in a whistleblower investigation is prohibited.
