Privacy Office

The campus Privacy Office is a resource for all on issues of privacy, including institutional data and personally identifiable information. The Privacy Offices also provides information about privacy implications of using AI tools. Contact the Privacy Officer (privacyoffice@berkeley.edu) with questions or concerns.

Potential violations of privacy policies (for example, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), or HIPAA)  can also be reported to the UC Whistleblower Hotline.

Office of the Registrar

The Registrar's Offices oversees the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) compliance for the campus. Individuals may request information about their rights and responsibilities under FERPA by contacting the Office of the Registrar.
